Visit of Chief Technical and Performance Officer
The school was privileged to host a visit of Newcrest’s Chief Technical and Performance Officer Suresh Vadnagra along with HR Manager, Alex Rogea. Suresh toured LIS and STMC facilities and met our Lihirian scholarship students.
LIS PNG Independence celebrations 2022
There will be a meeting for National parents in the undercover area of the school on Saturday the 12th March at 11am to begin preparations for the school’s Independence Day in September. At this meeting, an organising committee will be formed to work with the school in organising the event.
Library and Text Books
There have been some incidents of careless and unnecessary damage to school library and text books when they have been taken home. It is very costly to source and supply students with these resources on Lihir. We ask parents and carers to keep an eye on these school resources when used at home. Parents and carers will be charged replacement costs for damaged or lost books.
