Week 7 Term 4 2018
Dear Parents and Carers,
I am currently in the final stages of organising classes for the 2019 school year. If you know your child / children will not be attending Lihir International Primary school in 2019, and you have not yet informed me, please let me know as soon as possible so that year level numbers and class organisation can be finalised.
Staffing
I am pleased to advise that Mrs Patricia Armstrong will be joining the teaching staff at LIPS in 2019. Patricia is a QLD teacher with extensive experience and will be a welcome addition to the LIPS team. The recruitment process for the other vacant position is continuing.
Donations of Cakes for Book Fair Coffee Shop
For this weekend’s Book Fair, we are asking for donations of cakes, slices and treats to be served on the morning. If families are able to donate cakes, it would be most appreciated. Cakes can be delivered to the school canteen on Friday 23rd November, from 3pm – 4pm, or Saturday 24th November, from 9am to 10am.
School Council
The final School Council meeting for 2017 will be held next Thursday 29th of November from 7pm, in the staffroom. I look forward to seeing all School Council members at this last meeting for the year.
