Week 4 Term 3 2018
Dear Parents and Carers,
Last term LIPS participated in a school review, conducted by two senior reviewers from the School Improvement Unit (SIU), Department of Education Queensland. The review took place over a week, with many teachers, students, parents and community members interviewed by the reviewers. School policies and procedures were also examined as part of the review. Parent, teacher and student surveys were also conducted by the SIU to gain a full picture of LIPS. We have now received the Executive Summary of the review findings which includes several Key Improvement Strategies for LIPS to implement over coming years.
The feedback from the review was very positive, with parents and staff surveys showing 100% endorsement of LIPS as being a ‘good school’. This great result is a testimony to the calibre of teaching staff, support from Newcrest Mining LTD, along with parents and the community.
